Date: 10th July 2025
Time: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Holiday Inn Manchester

The diversity, equity and inclusion landscape, the world of business and society as a whole, are changing at unprecedented speed, posing a number of critical questions for HR and DE&I professionals:

  • How can organisations embed fairness into the very fabric of their work cultures?
  • How can DE&I be the driver for real, systemic change?
  • Why are we doing the same things and expecting different results? What can we do differently in 2025?
  • Where do we go from here? What does the future of DE&I look like?

Over the course of a day, FAIRER Consulting, in partnership with Hays, is bringing together key thought leaders from the fields of HR, DE&I and culture change, to explore some of these pressing questions. The conference is a space for honest and open reflection and practical insights and advice, using case studies and the latest research.

This event is designed for Senior HR & DEI professionals at mid to large enterprises. All sectors are welcome.

*Conditions Apply: The FAIRER Consulting conference is a free event but a non-attendance charge of £600 per head will be levied for late notice cancellation. You can cancel free of charge up to and including June 12th, 2025. Due to the restricted number of places available at the conference, tickets will be limited to a maximum of 2 per organisation.

Workshop - How do we stop tinkering around the edges of inequity and instead drive systemic change?

Despite best intentions, many of the activities organisations take to address inequity are performative and lack meaningful impact. This interactive workshop examines and reimagines one key area of the employee lifecycle using the principles of appreciative inquiry. In a hands-on activity, participants will envision what a truly equitable and inclusive experience would look and feel like and then identify how it could be achieved within their organisation.

Workshop – Build the skills required to be an effective D&I influencer

How do we engage people in effective conversations that spark insight and inspire a willingness to confront and challenge personal beliefs and behaviour? Given the polarisation of views and hardening of positions that many people now demonstrate when it comes to DEI, this session will build a set of practical skills and techniques, grounded in principles of interpersonal connection and storytelling, that enable people to work through their resistances and to show up as authentic advocates of inclusive culture change. The session will provide participants with the opportunity to identify ways in which they can apply these tools to real life scenarios and different stakeholder groups with whom they need to engage and influence more effectively.
