Kane is the Head of Workforce Strategy at Manchester City Council, bringing over a decade of experience in Human Resources and Organisational Development. As a dedicated member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Kane is at the forefront of shaping the Council's workforce.
In his role, Kane is responsible for the design and delivery of Manchester City Council's Workforce Strategy, ensuring the Council has a talented, diverse, and thriving workforce capable of delivering excellent services to Manchester residents. His portfolio includes equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), talent management, health and wellbeing, learning and development, and strategic workforce planning.
Kane's commitment to social justice, tackling inequalities, and creating an inclusive workplace is evident in his extensive work in EDI. He has successfully developed and implemented a transformative Workforce EDI Strategy at Manchester City Council, achieving significant impact:
