Beyond the Skills Shortage: Creating Inclusive and Thriving Workplaces in Construction & Property

The construction and property sectors are navigating a period of significant workforce challenge and transformation. Skills shortages, changing employee expectations, an ageing workforce, increasing wellbeing concerns, social value obligations and evolving client expectations are all placing greater focus on how organisations attract, retain and develop talent.

At the same time, there is growing recognition that inclusion, culture and employee wellbeing are not separate from business performance. They are critical factors in building sustainable workforces, improving engagement, supporting productivity and enhancing organisational reputation.

Having worked with organisations across the construction and property sector, FAIRER Consulting has seen first-hand both the progress being made and the challenges that remain. From improving representation and creating psychologically safer workplaces, to addressing mental health concerns and developing more inclusive leadership, many organisations are asking similar questions about what works and where to focus their efforts.

This interactive virtual roundtable will bring together HR, People, DE&I, Learning & Development and Wellbeing professionals from across the sector to share experiences, explore emerging challenges and discuss practical solutions.

Together, we will examine how organisations can create environments where people feel valued, respected and able to perform at their best, whilst addressing the talent and workforce challenges facing the industry.

"The future of construction and property will be shaped as much by people, culture and wellbeing as it is by projects and technical expertise. Organisations that create inclusive environments where individuals can thrive will be best placed to attract talent, retain skills and deliver long-term success."

Barry Boffy, FAIRER Consulting
