Training: Inclusive Leadership from Day One for New Managers

Home   /   Training: Inclusive Leadership from Day One for New Managers

Problem to solve

New managers are expected to build inclusive teams but are rarely shown how everyday decisions about meetings, flexibility, work allocation and progression shape opportunity.

FAIRER perspective

Inclusion is a management practice, not a personality trait. Small decisions about who gets information, visibility, support and stretch work create cumulative advantages or disadvantages.

Session summary

A hands-on introduction to the most influential moments in a new manager’s week: listening, allocating work, responding to concerns and supporting performance. Participants diagnose a team scenario and create a short inclusive-management action plan built around observable behaviours.

Preview our insights

In this short video, FAIRER Managing Director Dan Robertson explores what inclusive leadership looks like in practice and how leaders shape the experiences of the people they work with.

It’s a preview of the thinking explored in our one-hour training session – from recognising the impact of leadership behaviours to building trust, creating a sense of belonging and enabling everyone to contribute.

Recognise the role managers play in creating inclusive cultures.
